Hounds Hunting with Heart

The Sixth Annual Heart of Dixie Coon Hunter’s Association Bench Show and Nite Hunt, Hounds Hunting with Heart was held at the Dale County Ag Plex on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Thanks to the hard work of the Heart of Dixie Coon Hunters Association, Premier Business Supporter Gilland Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, and over 100 business and individual supporters, this year’s very successful event raised over $50,000! This money provides direct funding for the Vivian B. Adams School Scholarship Program as well as funding materials, equipment, and learning experiences for student and adult-learners from Barbour, Coffee, Dale, Henry, Houston, and Pike Counties.

This year’s event included both a live and silent auction, vendors, a car show and a special interactive “Touch A Truck” sponsored by the Dale County extension Service.

Our six-county community’s generosity and sincere care for the individuals served by VBAS provides the foundation for our vision: “connecting to possibilities”. Events like Hounds Hunting with Heart continue to build the funding that enables individuals with special needs in our community to receive the quality services they deserve and provide peers, place, and purpose for our individuals!
