Hounds Hunting with Heart: A Community Event Benefiting Vivian B. Adams School
DALE COUNTY, AL – Mark your calendars for an exciting day of fun, community spirit, and charitable giving at the Hounds Hunting with Heart event on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Dale County Ag-Plex Arena. Festivities kick off at 11:00 AM, bringing together dog lovers, classic car enthusiasts, and generous supporters for a great cause.
This year’s event promises a variety of attractions, including a Classic Car Show, the delightful “Join the Pack” showcase where kids can bring their dogs to participate, a selection of local vendors, and free pony rides for children. Attendees will also have the chance to participate in a silent and live auction, with exciting items up for grabs.
For the more competitive canine enthusiasts, the event will feature an official UKC Bench Show and Night Hunt, attracting skilled handlers and their hounds from across the region.
Adding to the festivities, the event will serve as a pickup location for the Dale County 4H Club’s annual steak sandwich sale, with Dale County Cattlemen’s Association manning the grill the steak sandwich sale is a highly anticipated tradition among locals. The presenting sponsor, Gilland Chevrolet, GMC, and Ford, has stepped up to support this charitable event, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.
Exciting fundraising opportunities will be available, including $1.00 raffle tickets for a chance to win a $500 prize. Additionally, supporters can purchase one of 100 available squares at $25 each, offering them a chance to win a Maddog electric start scooter.
All proceeds from Hounds Hunting with Heart will be used to enhance the Jay Adams Memorial Courtyard, provide on-campus transport wheelchairs, support individuals with intellectual disabilities in community participation, and assist underserved individuals in meaningful ways.
