Solutions First Credit Union Supports VBAS with Generous Donation

In a significant gesture of community support, Solutions First Credit Union made a generous donation to Vivian B. Adams School, aimed at enhancing opportunities for adult learners in the ENCORE Program. The donation, totaling $3500, was presented to adult learners in the program by Frank Garrett, President and CEO, during a special ceremony at the school on July 11, 2024.

The contribution from Solutions First Credit Union will enable adult learners in the ENCORE Program to participate in community outings, contribute to on-campus events and purchase departmental equipment and supplies, thereby enriching the learning experience for all students.

During the presentation ceremony, Mr. Garrett, expressed commitment to the programs provided by VBAS and emphasized the importance of investing in the future of our community.

VBAS Director, Hannah Parker, expressed gratitude for the generous donation, highlighting the positive impact it will have in providing adult individuals with intellectual disabilities opportunities for “Peers, Place and Purpose”.

The collaboration between Solutions First and VBAS underscores the power of community partnerships in fostering educational excellence and ensuring that individuals with intellectual disabilities have access to the resources they need to succeed.
