Dine, Dance, Donate: A Night of Music and Giving to Support VBAS
The Friends of Adams School are proud to announce the upcoming Dine, Dance, Donate charity event, a night dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. Scheduled for Thursday, January 16, 2025, 6:00pm-9:00pm,at the Ozark Civic Center, this event promises an evening of entertainment, connection, and community spirit.
Attendees will be treated to live music by the talented band, The Moonlighters, and tunes from the renowned DJ Henry Everett, creating a dynamic soundtrack for an evening of celebration. Guests will also enjoy a delicious meal and have the chance to participate in a Silent Auction, offering a variety of exciting items including a Coach Saban Autographed Alabama Football, a Vintage Ceramic Nativity from the VBAS Ceramic Department and more!
All funds raised during Dine, Dance, Donate will go directly toward on-campus upgrades at Vivian B. Adams School, enhancing the facilities and resources for every individual attending. Our particular focus is creating a more sensory friendly environment with the addition of acoustical panels to our activity center. This initiative reflects the school’s enduring commitment to providing exceptional support and opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
Vivian B. Adams School has a rich history of fundraising through musical events. During the 1970’s, the school hosted a memorable Charity Ball at the Ozark Civic Center and hosted Nashville Country Music Artist Jeanne Pruett, who captivated the audience with her chart-topping hit, “Satin Sheets.”
This year’s Dine, Dance, Donate continues this tradition of combining music and philanthropy to create meaningful impact. The Friends of Adams School extend their deepest gratitude to our Premier Sponsor: The John H. Watson Charitable Foundation and to Table Sponsors: Pea River Electric Cooperative, Wiregrass Resource Conservation and Development, Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home, Mark Dunning Industries, Engineered Systems, Inc. Jack and Pat Jackson, Peter and Deborah Bruggink, Chic and Cindy Gary, and an unnamed Special Friend of VBAS. Their generosity makes this event possible, and we invite the community to join in this special evening.
Tickets are available at VBAS, Barefields and The Market on the Square, Downtown Ozark.
