Dine, Dance, Donate: A Night of Music and Giving Raises Over $41,000 for Vivian B. Adams School

The Friends of Adams School are thrilled to announce the incredible success of the recent Dine, Dance, Donate charity event, which raised over $41,000 to support individuals with intellectual disabilities. Held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the Ozark Civic Center, this memorable evening was filled with music, community spirit, and generosity.
Attendees enjoyed live music by our friends, The Moonlighters, and an energetic atmosphere provided by DJ Henry Everett, making for a lively night of dancing and celebration. A beautiful and delicious grazing table was provided by DiFilippos Pizza.
One of the highlights of the event was the Silent Auction, which featured an array of fantastic items. Among the most sought-after were a Coach Saban Autographed Alabama Football and a rare, original Ceramic Nativity set created in the VBAS Ceramic Department during the 1980s. These unique treasures, along with many other auction items, played a key role in the success of the evening’s fundraising efforts.
The funds raised during Dine, Dance, Donate will go directly toward enhancing the facilities at Vivian B. Adams School, with a particular focus on creating a more sensory-friendly environment through the installation of acoustical panels in the activity center. This initiative is a testament to the school’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional support and opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our generous sponsors, whose contributions made this event possible. Our Premier Sponsor, The John H. Watson Charitable Foundation, and our Table Sponsors: Flowers Insurance, Pea River Electric Cooperative, Wiregrass Resource Conservation and Development Council, Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home, Mark Dunning Industries, Engineered Systems, Inc., P&S Pinestraw, Jack and Pat Jackson, Peter and Deborah Bruggink, Chic and Cindy Gary and BE and MO Moore all played a pivotal role in ensuring the evening’s success.
The overwhelming support from the community was truly inspiring, and The Friends of Adams School extend their deepest gratitude to everyone who attended, donated, and contributed to making Dine, Dance, Donate such an impactful event. Thanks to this collective generosity, Vivian B. Adams School continues to thrive and provide valuable resources for those it serves.
