What extracurricular activities or electives are available for students?
We offer a variety of extracurricular activities tailored to our student’s individual abilities and interests. These activities include art, choir, physical education, life skills, and so much more!
Are there transportation services available for students?
Bus transportation is available to all school–age and adult program students.
Are meals provided during the school day?
Yes, breakfast and lunch are provided to all students. We provide multiple meal choices each day to accommodate each student’s unique dietary needs and requirements.

How can I enroll a student under 21?
All referrals must be made through the special education coordinator in the school system serving your child. Our team is happy to walk you through contacting your school. Call or email Kathy Brooks at 334-774-5132.
How can I enroll a student 21+?
Students over 21 will need to begin by completing a Medicaid Waiver application. You can begin this process by calling the Alabama Medicaid hotline at 1-800-361-4491. You may contact Cindi Miles at 334-774-5132 with any questions.
Are classes offered year-round?
Yes! Classes at Vivian B. Adams are offered year-round.
School-age programs are offered based on the city school calendar with an added summer semester.
Adult programs operate year-round with set holiday breaks.
Are additional services available to school-age children?
All therapies are contracted through the student’s school system and are offered on campus during the school day.
